Josephine Hessert, DO, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician in Southern California. Dr. Hessert has experience working in medicine in multiple settings around the work including deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Africa. She also volunteers as a ship’s physician for expeditions traveling to Antarctica and the Arctic.

Dr. Hessert received her undergraduate degree in biology from Carleton College. She studied medicine at the University of New England and received her Master of Public Health degree from A.T. Still University. She has completed a residency in emergency medicine and a separate residency in aerospace medicine.
