Melissa Bronstein, LICSW, is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a virtual private practice specializing in supporting young adults who want to manage anxiety, improve their relationships, and navigate life transitions. Melissa's previous experience includes trauma counseling and healthy relationship promotion in New York City public schools and community-based work with adolescents, caregivers, and young professionals.
Melissa is passionate about having a strengths-based, integrative, and client-centered approach. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and self-compassion into her work.
As a social worker, access to equitable and effective mental health care is something that I care deeply about. Everyone has a unique history and story, and I consider it a privilege to be able to listen to and learn from my clients.
Melissa received her bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and her Master's of Social Work from Columbia University. She also has a clinical anxiety treatment professional (CCATP) certification.
